The Kali Adventure Camp at Dandeli is all about the unique rush of an untamed environment, including canyons, valleys, woods, and swirling, bloated, and frothing white water. This wilderness camp, a large bungalow on the banks of the magnificent Kali River, is all about connecting with nature. Find out how energising being wild can be by taking a walk there. Learn to appreciate the pure excitement of living.
For those who love the outdoors and adventure, there is the JLR Kali Adventure Camp. The camp is set up specifically for whitewater rafting, making it the ideal location. Strict safety precautions are used during the rafting. With river guides who are very skilled and well-equipped, we've honed our reputation as a whitewater rafting destination. Kayaking, coracle rides, bird watching, nature walks, wild safaris, sight-seeing excursions, and more are additional activities. The River Kali is a fickle river. It rules the hills, the woods, and all else it passes through. On one side, you can choose to ride in a coracle while dodging crocodiles and viewing birds. On the other hand, you must contend with rapid currents in a rubber dinghy while holding an oar in your hand with your heart in your mouth. Clearly, the River Kali is everything but gentle! The elusive black panther can be seen in the Kali Tiger Reserve. Our visitors are driven into the Reserve on jeep safaris. The crested serpent eagle, hornbills, yellow-footed pigeons, gaurs, sloth bears, barking deer, spotted deer, and gaur are frequently seen. You'll notice more things if you keep silent. Enjoy the evening while sipping your preferred spirit from the camp's fully stocked bar. Dinners are served mostly in Indian cuisine at the Gol Ghar. However, foods from China or Europe can be provided upon request.
The best time to visit the Kali adventure camp in Dandeli is between the months of October and May, which consists of the winter and summer season. White Water Rafting season starts in November and goes on till June. However, the weather remains pleasant throughout the year, and you can plan your visit depending on the activities you are planning to enjoy during your vacation.
Summer: The summer months in Dandeli last from March to May, when the temperatures are moderate and the conditions of the Kali River are ideal for adventure activities. You can enjoy river rafting, canoeing and kayaking on the waters of the Kali. On land, you can go bird-watching and hike through the dense jungles.
Monsoon: If you are planning on visiting Dandeli for river-rafting, then it is best that you avoid planning your vacation during monsoon, which is between July and September. This is the time when the area experiences very heavy rainfall and the Kali River also gets flooded. The shores are muddy and the waters are more turbulent than usual.
Winter: The onset of winter starts from October and lasts till March-April. You can see many migratory birds that visit the area during this time and also engage in other, more rigorous adventure sports such as mountain climbing and trekking. This is the best time to visit the Kali River in Dandeli.
The check-in timing of Kali Adventure Camp is at 12:00 PM and the check-out timing is at 11:00 AM, the next day. On your arrival at the camp, campsite briefing & tent allocation will be done and followed by heart-warming lunch. You can proceed with nature walks nearby and enjoy jeep Safari at Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. In the evening, adore the beautiful evening amidst nature with bonfire and music.
They offer an array of vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies. Exotic ingredients, familiar dishes and tongue-tingling flavours can be found in their regular buffet, lunch, dinner and breakfast menu.
