Best Time To Visit Idukki Hill Station

The best time to visit Idukki is during the Winter season (November-February). It can be visited throughout the year as well owing to its pleasant weather and scenic beauty. The township of Idukki has a variable climate when one travels from the western to the eastern side of the district. With moderate weather on the west of Idukki and a cold environment on the east part, the hill town receives heavy rainfall during monsoons in the Southwest and Northwestern parts. By Rail- Being a hill station, Idukki doesn’t have a railway station of its own. Theni is the nearest railhead to Idukki, which is located at a distance of 60 km. Changanacherry and Kottayam are the nearby stations that offer regular train services. Therefore, the rail network is very strong and connects Idukki to other cities.

By Road- Idukki is accessible by roads as it has a wide network of motorable roads. NH-49 is the national highway that passes along this place.
