This tailor-made safari takes you round the spectacular national parks of Uganda known for incredible wildlife sightings and pristine views. Each park has its own highlight, whether that is the chimpanzees of Kibale, big game of Ishasha, mountain gorillas of Bwindi or the famous shoebill of Murchison Falls. Not only are the wildlife sightings sure to make this safari unforgettable, but you will learn about conservation along the way, with visits to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and talks with park guides before your gorilla treks.

    Arrive Entebbe

    On your arrival into Entebbe, clear customs and look out for our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day will be spent at your leisure so depending on what time you arrive please speak to our representative about making plans for the day.

    Mabamba Wetland Swamp

    Today you will have the opportunity to explore the areas surrounding Entebbe. Wake early for your first activitiy, the Mabamba Wetland Swamp which is known for its excellent birding including sightings of the famous shoebill. If you get back to Entebbe in time you may also be able to visit the botanical gardens.

    Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

    Today, meet with your driver guide for a 4 hour transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a rhino tracking experience. You will learn about the conservation efforts needed to protect these species and the struggles they face in Uganda. After lunch, transfer to your hotel in Masindi and relax before your next adventure.

    Budongo Forest and Murchison Falls

    This morning you will enjoy breakfast before travelling to Budongo for a chimp tracking experience. This is the first of many primate experiences you will enjoy during this safari! After tracking, drive approx 1 hour to Bakers Lodge. Time permitting, you may be able to go for an afternoon game drive in Murchison Falls National Park.

    Murchison Falls National Park

    Over the next two days you have the chance to discover the sights of Murchison Falls. Enjoy game drives, boat cruises and waterfall hikes while looking out for wildlife such as Nile crocodiles, elephants and the unique shoebill.

    Kibale Forest National Park

    Moving on from Murchison Falls, you will transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. This is a long transfer so a packed lunch will be included and this is a chance to relax and take in the landscapes before chimpanzee tracking over the next few days.

  7. Day 8

    Kibale Forest National Park

    This morning, head out into Kibale Forest to track the chimpanzees as they swing through the trees. Sit and watch them as they stop for lunch or relax in the shade. In the afternoon, head to the crater lake for a long walk or perhaps swim in the crater or kayak on the lake.

  8. Day 9

    Queen Elizabeth National Park

    After breakfast, drive approximately three hours with a packed lunch to Mweya for a 2pm shared boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Look out for birds and wildlife as you cruise along. After the boat cruise, move on to Ishasha in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will be able to enjoy game viewing en route so keep your eyes peeled for wildlife.

    Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Today, explore Ishasha on both morning and afternoon game drives looking out for hundreds of bird species, elephants and the famous tree-climbing lions. Finish your afternoon game drive with a bush sundowner taking in a true African sunset.

  10. Day 11

    Ishasha - Bwindi

    After breakfast, enjoy another game drive looking out for Ishasha's wildlife and then transfer on to Bwindi. En route, visit Agatha and Deo's homesteads for a cultural experience.

    Bwindi Forest National Park

    Today, transfer to Bwindi Forest Park HQ for a gorilla tracking briefing and allocation of the gorilla family that you will be tracking for the day. Head out with your tracker guides to seek out the gorillas and spend time with these powerful creatures. Once you have located the gorillas you will only have an hour to spend with them so make sure you enjoy every second (add USD $700 per person for the gorilla permit).

  12. Day 13

    Bwindi Forest National Park

    You now have the chance to head out on a second gorilla trek. As you will have taken hundreds of photographs yesterday, make sure you step back from your camera today to truly take in the moment. Depending on what time you get back to the lodge you will have the afternoon at your leisure.

  13. Day 14

    Bwindi - Lake Mburo

    After breakfast at Bwindi Lodge, say goodbye to this amazing place and transfer to Lake Mburo. This journey is approximately 6.5 hours but when you arrive you will be able to head out on a night drive to discover the nocturnal creatures of Lake Mburo.

    Lake Mburo National Park

    Today, enjoy a morning guided nature/game walk around Lake Mburo National Park. This is an extremely picturesque park and is home to hippos, buffalo, impala and even leopards. Head back to the lodge for lunch and afternoon relaxation before going out for another game drive in the early evening.

    Depart Uganda

    Enjoy your final game drive in Lake Mburo before getting ready to leave Uganda. After an early lunch at the lodge, drive approx 5.5 hours to Entebbe in time to check in for your international departure flight.

Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and it is our endeavor to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation, and ration in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the program. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below,

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the event: Full refund as cash.
  • Cancellations between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 % refund as cash.
  • Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund.
  • Cancellations will be accepted only by email.

Note: We reserve the right to cancel a program before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.
