Toubkal or Tubkal is a mountain peak in southwestern Morocco, located in the Toubkal National Park. At 4,167 metres, it is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco, North Africa and the Arab World. DEPARTURE / ARRIVAL : Hotel pick up at 8 a.m.. We arrive back on last day around 7 p.m. and we drop you off at your hotel or any place you require.

Itinerary

DAY 1 : FROM MARRAKECH TO AZIB TAMSSOULT

“Trek Morocco Desert” invites you to enjoy Morocco private trekking tour from Marrakech. We transfer from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains in Imlil . It is popular starting point for mountaineering trips and we discover the area and hike up to Tizi-n-Mezzik mountain pass at 2489m. We enjoy the Azzaden valley where the lunch is prepared by our cooker. After lunch, walk down the valley of Azzaden to the summer village of Tamssoult (2250m). Overnight in the refuge or camp.

DAY 2 : FROM AZIB TAMSSOULT TO TOUBKAL REFUGE

Today we walk along the river up to waterfall of Igholidn. We continue hiking up to Tizi-n-ougelzim mountain pass (3600m). This is a good acclimatization for the summit the day after. Enjoy the spectacular view of the Haouz plaines and Toubkal summit, the Highest North Africa’s peak during your picnic on the pass. Then walk down to the base camp of Toubkal (3207m). Camp or sleep in the refuge.

DAY 3 : TOUBKAL REFUGE TO MARRAKECH VIA TOUBKAL PEAK

Today after early breakfast we enjoy a 3 hours hiking up to your goal, the highest North African peak: Jebel Toubkal (4167m). Depending on the season, the way leads over some snowfields. After about 2 hours, you reach the ridge from where you get a first stunning view around you. You then follow the ridge for another few 100’s meters of elevation and soon reach the long awaited summit. If the air is clear, you get a good view to surrounding summits such as Jebel Siroua (3300m) or Jebel Ouankrim (4083m). After a short break we head back down to the refuge. Back at the refuge, extensive and delicious lunch prepared by our cook is waiting for you. After you are strengthened again, we walk back to Imlil and then we drive back to Marrakech.

Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and it is our endeavor to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation and ration in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the program. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below, - Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the event: Full refund as cash. - Cancellations between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 % refund as cash. - Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund. - Cancellations will be accepted only by email. Note: We reserve the right to cancel a program before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.
