Tanzania Flying Safari

Take to the skies as you explore the natural highlights of northern Tanzania while travelling aboard a small executive aircraft, observing the wildlife of Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti National Parks. Starting off by staying in a working coffee plantation in the foothills of Mount Meru, you will travel to the baobab-dotted landscapes of Tarangire, renowned for its large population of elephants. From here, seek out the ‘big five’ in the Ngorongoro Crater and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Serengeti National Park, all the while staying in luxurious safari accommodation. 

This is a small group safari departing on set dates. Accommodation and areas have been chosen for their proximity to the wildlife and to give you the best experience we can in Tanzania. It is possible to extend this safari with activities or beach time at the beginning or end; speak to us for more details.

    Arrive Arusha

    Upon arrival into Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to Arusha Coffee Lodge (approximately one hour driving), where the rest of the day is yours to relax following your flight.

  2. Day 2

    Arusha - Tarangire

    After breakfast at the lodge you will enjoy a tour of the estate to learn how the regions world-famous coffee is produced. After lunch, transfer to the airstrip for your charter flight to Tarangire National Park, where you will be met and taken on a game drive through the park to your next lodge. Tarangire National Park encompasses a unique and diverse ecosystem of swamps, forest and savannah, and is home to the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Masai Boma dinner at your lodge.

    Tarangire

    This morning you will pay a visit to the local Masai village before heading out for another game drive in the national park, looking out for elephants, lions, zebra and other wildlife amidst the parks characteristic baobab trees. Head back to your lodge for lunch, before embarking on a walking safari with your expert naturalist guides, stopping to enjoy the sunset with cocktails out in the bush. In the evening, head out into the park once again for a night game drive to witness to nocturnal wildlife of Tarangire.

    Tarangire - Ngorongoro

    This morning you will enjoy your final game drive in the park as you make your way to Kuro Airstrip, where you will catch your onward flight to Ngorongoro Crater. After touching down in Manyara Airstrip, you will be met and transferred to The Manor at Ngorongoro in time for High Tea

  5. Day 5

    Ngorongoro Crater

    After an early breakfast this morning you will embark on a game drive in the crater itself - an incredibly wildlife-rich area that is home to all of the 'big five' - and enjoy a picnic lunch. Return to your hotel after lunch where you will have time to relax and enjoy the facilities, before enjoying an exclusive private dining experience.

    Ngorongoro - Serengeti

    This morning you will visit Lake Manyara National Park, best known for the flocks of flamingos that inhabit the large soda lake at the centre of the park. Lake Manyara is also home to leopards, lions, cheetahs, elephants and giraffes. After lunch back at your hotel you will be driven to Manyara Airstrip for your onward flight to the Serengeti National Park. Depending on the time of year and the location of wildlife, you will be staying either at Serengeti Migration Camp or Serengeti Pioneer Camp. Upon arrival you will be met and taken to your camp, where you can enjoy sundowners and dinner under the stars.

  7. Day 7

    Serengeti National Park

    Today you will have a full day to explore the vast open grasslands of the Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is the oldest national park in Tanzania and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. It is home to an abundance of wildlife, including all of the African 'big five' as well as wild dogs, zebra and wildebeest. Depending on the time of year you travel, you may also be able to witness the Great Migration that the park is perhaps best-known for.

    Serengeti - Arusha - Depart

    Enjoy a final game drive in the park this morning before heading back to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha. Upon arrival you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your international flight home. Alternatively, this trip can be extended with time in the Masai Mara or the beaches of Zanzibar; contact our Destination Specialists for more details.

Refund

Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and it is our endeavor to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation, and ration in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the program. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below,

 

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the event: Full refund as cash.
  • Cancellations between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 % refund as cash.
  • Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund.
  • Cancellations will be accepted only by email.

 

Note: We reserve the right to cancel a program before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.
