    Arrive Windhoek

    You'll be welcomed into Windhoek by our representative on the ground who will transfer you to your boutique city accommodation, The Olive Exclusive. Enjoy the sights of Namibia from the luxury of your air-conditioned vehicle as you head into Windhoek and relax at the hotel when you arrive before your real adventure begins tomorrow. Our representative will offer you information and guidance for your self-drive trip so this is the best time to ask any last minute questions you may have.

    Windhoek - Okonjima

    Today you begin your journey through Namibia as you travel the three hours to Okonjima. This is an enjoyable drive and will give you a real idea of the stunning landscapes of this beautiful country. Depending on what time you arrive you may have chance to head straight out to encounter some of the carnivores at the AfriCat Foundation. The foundation works to rehabilitate big cats and educate local communities on the importance of conserving these species.

    Okonjima

     

    While staying at Okonjima Plains Camp you have the opportunity to track leopards with the help of radio tracking devices and your experienced guides. This exciting experience offers clients the opportunity to become part of a 28-year study of the species, which aims to provide a sustainable future for leopard populations in Namibia. You can also enjoy game drives within the 20,000ha reserve, keeping your eyes peeled for rare species like rhinos, cheetahs and pangolins. After your day of wildlife encounters, relax back at the camp with a cocktail in hand by the swimming pool or sitting round the campfire.

    Okonjima - Ongava Concession

    This morning you’re back on the road to take the leisurely drive from Okonjima to the Ongava Concession and your luxurious lodge, Little Ongava. The journey will take around 4 hours and you will enter from the Andersson entrance of Etosha. With its own watering hole, Little Ongava is often frequented by wildlife so you will have opportunity for sightings without even leaving the camp. You can opt for game drives within the 35,000 hectare Ongava Private Game Reserve or venture into the wildlife hub that is Etosha National Park for even more sightings. Back at the lodge enjoy sumptuous cuisine and relax in your own private plunge pool overlooking the stunning scenery.

  5. Day 5

    Ongava and Etosha

    Today is at your leisure so you have the chance to make the most of your luxurious accommodation and the unique environment that surrounds it. Visit the impressive landscape of the Etosha Pan that takes up around 25% of the park, look out for wildlife and birdlife throughout the reserve of simply relax at camp.

  6. Day 6

    Ongava - Omaruru

    Say goodbye to Etosha and travel towards Erongo Wilderness Lodge at Omaruru. The lodge is set in the breath-taking boulder-strewn landscape of the Erongo Mountains and the Erongo Crater. Guided walks are available every day in the morning and afternoon or you can opt to walk the self-guided trails to take in the epic scenery and look out for some of the unique birds that call this area home. Back at the lodge, enjoy dinner under the stars then retire to the outside deck which looks over the floodlit waterhole for late night wildlife encounters.

  7. Day 7

    Erongo - Windhoek

    It will be hard to leave this wonderful region but it is now time to head back to Windhoek and travel home. Take in the last of the Namibian scenery and collect any last minute souvenirs from the city before travelling back to the airport.

Refund

Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and it is our endeavor to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation, and ration in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the program. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below,

 

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the event: Full refund as cash.
  • Cancellations between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 % refund as cash.
  • Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund.
  • Cancellations will be accepted only by email.

 

Note: We reserve the right to cancel a program before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.
