Itinerary
Trekkers need to assemble at Manali in the morning - sharp before 10am, to meet our team. Trekkers will need to board into our private vehicle for drive Khanol which is approx 2 hours. Khanlo is where your trek starts with gradual ascent, passing through thick pine forests. This trek will be for around 3 hours and at the end of the forest you will find Chikka. This is where we fix our first camp which is the best and safe place for camping.
We will have our breakfast and begin today’s trek following the right bank of Jagatsukh river along the thick forest which gives way to boulders. This stretch of trek is covered with carpet of wild flowers and the treeline ends here, slowly giving way to Seri. Seri is a vast meadow spread out whose beauty you will admire. It was once a glaciated lake and has now turned to beautiful green meadows with an incredible range of herbs and alpine flowers.
Today is the day when we will get ample time to rest, relax and acclimatize ourselves, as the trek starts with easy walking across flat section of the meadow. Today’s trek includes adventure of crossing few gushing river streams and some steep climbs to boulders which would lead to the moraine field. We would setup our camp here and today is the day when we will get glimpse of DeoTibba from our campsite. For the rest of the day, we will acclimatize and setup tent for overnight stay.
Today we will need to wake up early and start with the day carrying day-sack along with just water bottle and packed lunch leaving everything back to our respective tents as we will come back the same place. We need to trek high to the highest altitude of this trek and see lake mini Chanderta. This will require trek through moraines with uphill features and final stretch is going to be a steep climb. DeoTibba will always be in full view throughout the trail. The view is going to be so soothing that you will forget all the tiredness and be mesmerized by the view. We will have lunch at Lake Chandertall and admire all the surrounding beauty and later descend back to Tainta, followed by overnight stay in camp.
We will trek back from Tainta to Chikka today. Get ready after breakfast and we would proceed with descent towards Chikka. We will be having lunch at Dudupathar, followed by overnight stay in camp.
Today would be our final day of this trek. We will trek back to Khanol which was our starting point and later drive back Manali via Jagatsukh. This will mark the end to this beautiful trek with unforgettable memories.
