Starting off in the pristine wilderness of Gonarezhou National Park, Zimbabwe, encounter wildlife including elephants, lions and cheetahs before heading to the stunning coastline of Vilanculos, Mozambique, for some beach relaxation.
Combining Gonarezhou National Park and the Bazaruto Archipelago, two unexplored regions of extraordinary natural beauty, this is the ultimate bush and beach safari for the discerning traveller. Gonarezhou is the second largest but one of the least visited national parks in Zimbabwe, a pristine wilderness that is known for its large elephant herds. Discover the more remote regions of the park based at Mahove Tented Camp. This semi-luxurious seasonal camp is situated on the banks of the Bunde River, one of the best locations in the park for wildlife viewing. From here, you will fly east directly to the Mozambique coast, staying in a sumptuous villa overlooking the azure waters of Vilanculos bay and the Bazaruto Archipelago, and go snorkelling in the marine protected area.
Cost of this safari includes a charter flight between Zimbabwe and Mozambique, based on a minimum of 4 guests. Itinerary
Arrive Gonarezhou National Park
Today you will fly into OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, where you will catch a charter flight to Buffalo Range Airport in western Zimbabwe. Upon arrival, you will be met and driven to your lodge in Gonarezhou National Park.
Overnight: Chilo Gorge Lodge (D)
Gonarezhou National Park
Today you will embark on morning and afternoon game drives into the pristine wilderness of Gonarezhou National Park. Gonarezhou means 'place of many elephants', and it is renowned for its large elephant herds, as well as the large Baobab trees that are scattered across the landscape. The park also boasts world class birding opportunities; two-thirds of all bird species found in Zimbabwe have been recorded around Chilo Gorge. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner overlooking the Save River.

Gonarezhou National Park
This morning you will depart Chilo Gorge Lodge and head to Mahove Tented Camp, where you will spend the next two nights. This comfortable camp lets you explore the more remote regions of the park, and you will head out once again on a walking safari to search for the park's resident wildlife including buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and giraffe.
Gonarezhou National Park
Another day to explore the untamed landscapes of Gonarezhou from your tented camp; enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the Machanu Pan, a great spot for birdwatching, head out on a walking safari with your naturalist guide, and watch the sun set over the Bunde River with a sundowner.
Gonarezhou National Park - Vilanculos
You will depart Gonarezhou this morning and transfer to the airstrip, where you will board a scheduled charter flight to Vilanculos, Mozambique. From here you will be met and transferred to your beach lodge, the beautiful Santorini Mozambique, which boasts incredible panoramic views over Vilanculos bay and the islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago. The rest of the day is yours to relax at your hotel.
Vilanculos
You will spend the next three days unwinding in the comfort of your suite and enjoying the activities of the Mozambique coast. Discover the idyllic islands of the Bazaruto Archipelago, a marine protected area, and go diving to discover the incredible marine life of the surrounding coral reefs. You can also go sailing in a traditional dhow boat, visit the market at Vilanculos, try deep sea fishing, or simply relax on Mozambique's pristine white-sand beaches. The perfect way to end your African safari.

Today you will be met and transferred to Vilanculos Airport for your international flight home.

Cancellation Policy
Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and it is our endeavor to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation, and ration in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the program. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below,
- Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the event: Full refund as cash.
- Cancellations between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 % refund as cash.
- Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund.
- Cancellations will be accepted only by email.
Note: We reserve the right to cancel a program before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.
