  1. DAY 1 SAO PAULO – CUIABÁ – NORTHERN PANTANAL

    On your arrival into Sao Paulo, you will connect with your short domestic flight connecting you to Cuiabá. You will be met at the airport by your guide who will transfer you south to Pocone, the start of the Transpantaneira Highway. This is a 145-kilometre-long dirt road that leads south through the heart of the Pantanal, ending at the Cuiabá River in Jofre. As you begin your journey on the Transpantaneira, you will start to see families of capybara, pools filled with caiman, raptors soaring through the skies, and flocks of waterbirds; let your wildlife safari begin! En route to the lodge you will have the chance to stop and enjoy the many lakes and streams which are packed full of animals. This afternoon, enjoy a shared activity and in the evening head out on a safari drive to put you in the right place at the right time for optimal wildlife viewing.

  2. DAY 2 NORTHERN PANTANAL

    With one full day to explore the region, you will enjoy morning and afternoon activities accompanied by an expert naturalist guide, setting out into the wild wetlands of the Pantanal. Explore the waterways with a canoe, or follow your guide on the trails that depart from this small family ranch, teeming with wildlife. This is a great way to get off-road and head deeper into the marches, forests and grasslands in search of the animals.

  3. DAY 3 NORTHERN PANTANAL – JAGUAR VIEWING AREA

    Today you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy one last morning activity and a chance to spot caiman, tapir and giant anteaters. After lunch, you continue your adventure by taking a private transfer to the Panoramico Houseboat, after continuing south down the Transpantaneira Highway to Porto Jofre. En route you will have the chance to stop and enjoy the views and look out for the resident wildlife. Jaguars are often found along the final 35 kilometres of road before getting to Jofre, so keep a keen eye glued to the road for possible sightings. On arrival, the evening will be yours to have dinner and enjoy your unique surroundings aboard your floating accommodation.

  4. DAYS 4-6 JAGUAR VIEWING

    Spend the next three days exploring and searching for jaguars and giant river otters on the Piquiri, Cuiabá and Three Brothers Rivers. Enjoy two private boat outings per day, returning to the lodge for lunch and some time to relax. This is the best place in the world to see these elusive cats in the wild and we are proud to report an average of two sightings per day on these waters. Other possible sightings include tapir, giant river otters, caiman, ocelot and even the rare pumas who are known to share this habitat with the jaguars. At the end of the day, return to your floating accommodation where you will be able to edit photos, compare sightings with other guests or just sit back and relax.

  5. DAY 7 JAGUAR VIEWING AREA – NORTHERN PANTANAL

    This morning you are transferred back downriver to Porto Jofre. On arrival you are transferred back north along the Transpantaneira Highway. Along the way, keep a lookout for the resident wildlife of the Pantanal. You are sure to see families of capybara, as well as caiman and various waterbirds. After lunch at the lodge you will head out for an afternoon lodge activity. In the evening, visit the ocelot hide for a chance to see these magnificent cats right before your eyes.

  6. DAY 8 NORTHERN PANTANAL – CUIABÁ – DEPART

    This morning after checking out of your lodge, you will be met and transferred back to the airport in time for your flight to Sao Paulo, where you will catch your international flight home.

Medical Kit Required

Essential

  • It is mandatory to carry the original government-issued any valid ID cards for Indian nationals and original passports for foreign nationals.
  • Sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen lotions.
  • T-shirt, shirt or blouse - long sleeves and collars help to protect from the sun and mosquitoes (Neutral or Non-bright colored)
  • Comfortable walking shoes (or boots) and socks.
  • Preventative pharmaceuticals.

Refund

Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and it is our endeavor to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation and ration in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the program. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below,

 

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the event: Full refund as cash.
  • Cancellations between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 % refund as cash.
  • Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund.
  • Cancellations will be accepted only by email.

 

Note: We reserve the right to cancel a program before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.
