Enchanting Meghalaya

Move a little closer and you will notice a whole world captured in the embrace of emerald green forests where small streams twist and turn. You will catch the glimmer of serene lakes, where shades of blue and green seep into each other. Turn your gaze to East Khasi hills of Meghalaya and there lies Shillong – the capital of Meghalaya, which was affectionately referred to as the “Scotland of the East” by the Britishers. If heaven is a place on earth, then that place is Meghalaya.

  1. Day 1- Reach Guwahati, Drive to Shillong

    Our driver will receive you from the Guwahati Airport/Railway Station. From the Airport/ Railway Station he will take you straight away to Shillong, which is known as the Scotland of the East. The drive is about 3 hours. On our way to Shillong we visit the beautiful Umiam Lake. Your stay will be in Police Bazar, Shillong. In the evening we take you for a walk around Shillong’s famous Police Bazar.

  2. Day 2 -Shillong Sightseeing

    You will spend the second day in Shillong visiting various places in and around the city. You will spend the evening by boating in the Ward’s Lake, located in the heart of the Shillong City. You will stay in the same hotel in Shillong.

  3. Day 3- Drive to Dawki, Stay in Mawlynnong

    On third day we drive to the border town of Dawki which is 80 kms from Shillong. In Dawki we take a boat ride in the Umngot River. Umgot River is considered to be one of India’s cleanest rivers. After lunch in Dawki we drive to Mawlynnong, which is one of the cleanest villages in Asia. We also visit the nearby Rewai village to witness the Living Root Bridges. Your stay will be in Mawlynnong.

  4. Day 4- Drive to Cherrapunjee, Stay

    After Breakfast we will leave for Cherrapunjee (55km), which is one of the wettest places on earth. The region is blessed with beautiful waterfalls and natural caves. After sightseeing in and around Cherrapunjee, we will check in to your hotel in Cherrapunjee.

  5. Day 5 -Back to Guwahati

Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and it is our endeavor to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation, and ration in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the program. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below,

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the event: Full refund as cash.
  • Cancellations between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 % refund as cash.
  • Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund.
  • Cancellations will be accepted only by email.

Note: We reserve the right to cancel a program before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.
