    Cuiaba - Northern Pantanal

    As you enter the Transpantaneira Highway you will start to see families of capybaras, pools of caiman and flocks of water birds and raptor; let your wildlife safari begin! En route to the lodge you will have the chance to stop and enjoy the many lakes and streams which are packed full of animals. On your first evening you can gather and decide what you wish to achieve during your trip.

    Northern Pantanal

    Today you will enjoy a variety of excursions accompanied by your expert naturalist guide; setting out into the wild wetlands of the Pantanal. Explore the waterways by canoe, try piranha fishing or ride horseback past the giant lily-pads of the wetlands. This is a great way to get off-road and head deeper into the marshes, forests and grasslands in search of the wildlife found in the area. Come into close contact with the resident flora and fauna on a walk, enjoy a jeep safari to get some fabulous photos or head out at night to see some of the nocturnal species of the area.

    Northern Pantanal - Porto Jofre

    After breakfast and a morning safari, you will continue south down the Transpantaneira Highway to Porto Jofre. En route you will have the chance to stop and enjoy the views whilst keeping an eager eye out for the resident wildlife.

  4. Day 4-5

    Jaguar Viewing

    You will have the next two days to go in search of the jaguars that can be found in this area. Early in the morning, take to the river and keep an eye out on the riverbanks as you look for the cats as they come down to drink, sleep and hunt near the water. Count on your expert guide to help you make the most of these sightings; you may also spot tapir, giant anteaters and giant river otters. Following your excursions, you will head back to the hotel where you will be able to relax by the pool.

    Northern Pantanal - Manaus

    After an early breakfast you will be transferred back to Cuiaba for your afternoon flight to Manaus, a city of over a million people situated in the middle of the Amazon jungle. Arriving into the city, marvel at the scenic views as you pass over the vast green wilderness and enter this hot and humid port in the heart of the jungle. After your full day travelling, relax at your hotel or alternatively explore the city of Manaus, which thrived as a result of the 19th century rubber boom, with several grand buildings such as the Opera House.

    Manaus - Amazon

    Today you catch an early morning flight which will take you to Tefe, deep in the heart of the Amazon. Here you will be met by the representative for Uakari Lodge who will drive you to the port for your boat transfer to the lodge. Following an hour boat transfer you reach the floating lodge. This afternoon you will have your first jungle experience. Being located deep in the jungle enables Uakari Lodge to offer a vast and less visited area of this renowned rainforest to explore, either by speedboat, on foot or by canoe.

  7. Day 8-10

    Amazon

    You will have three full days to explore this magical area. This is the only place in the world where you can see the Uakari monkey, an unusual looking monkey that lives in troops in the high canopy. The monkeys have a fluffy white coat and a bald pink head and face - almost like a sunburnt man! Other animals include three toed sloths, red howler monkeys, common squirrel monkeys, black faced squirrel monkeys, brown capuchin monkeys, black caiman, pink dolphins, grey dolphins and otters. You can also enjoy boat trips, canoeing safaris, walking in the jungle and village visits.

    Amazon - Manaus

    This morning you will transfer back to Tefe in time for your onward flight back to Manaus, to connect with your return flight back to home.

Life is unpredictable and we understand that sometimes you have to cancel or change your trip dates and it is our endeavor to make it as easy as possible for you. However, please understand that we plan everything including guide fees, permits, accommodation, and ration in advance. Therefore, any cancellation means inconvenience and certain losses to the people involved in various stages of the program. Keeping that in mind, our cancellation charges are as below,

  • Cancellations prior to 30 days from the start of the event: Full refund as cash.
  • Cancellations between 30 days and 15 days to the start of the event: 50 % refund as cash.
  • Cancellations less than 15 days to the start of the event: No refund.
  • Cancellations will be accepted only by email.

Note: We reserve the right to cancel a program before departure in the event of logistical problems arising due to natural calamities, strikes, wars or any other circumstances that make the event inadvisable. In this case, we will refund 50% of the event fees.
