Explore Himachal (Dalhousie, Dharamshala, McLeodganj, Bir) in a 7 Day Tour

If you have never been to Himachal, then you are missing sometihing. Dotted with beautiful hill stations, in this trip we explore the west side of Himachal. We will start from Delhi or Chandigarh, and travel to Dalhousie as the first destination.

Dalhousie: One of the famous hill-town of Himachal, Dalhousie is spread across 5 mountains: Kathlog, Potreyn, Terah, Bakrota and Bhangora. Some of the things to do is visit Chamera Lake, St John's Chruch, Beeji's (Army) Park, Moti Tibba etc.

Dharamshala: Home to the revered Tibetan spiritual guru Dalai Lama, Dharamshala is located in the Kangra region of Himachal Pradesh. Some of the places to visit are Bhagsunag waterfalls, Nechung Monastery, Kalachakra Temple etc. One can also do the famous Tirund trek etc. One can also visit McLeodganj as a day trip from Dharamshala and go to Naddi hill point, Dal lake etc.

Bir: Also known as Bir Billing, its one of the most famous destination for adventure sports - paragliding. Then there is nature visit, valley bike rides, etc.

Chandigarh: Capital of Punjab & Haryana, Chandigarh is famous as the best planned city in India. It is also the gateway to different parts of Himachal. One can make a 1-2 day stop during the return journey. Some of the things to do is: eat amazing Punjabi food, visit the world famous Rock Garden, explore the shopping centers and the perfectly planned city roads etc.

Mini-Itinerary:

Day 0: Leave from Delhi (before afternoon) to Chandigarh (overnight stay)

Day 1: Leave for Dalhousie

Day 2: Leave for Dharamshala 

Day 3: Explore Dharamshala

Day 4: Explore McLeodganj 

Day 5: Head for Bir 

Day 6: Head back to Chandigarh

Day 7: Reach back to Delhi and catch your evening return flight
