Tamarind Falls are situated in Black River Gorges National Park in the southwest part of Mauritius. The  Black River Gorges National Park is easily accessible from the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. There are local buses and taxis available to the Black River Gorges National Park from outside the airport. Private buses and taxis are also available to the Black River Gorges National Park.

Hikers can rent a car or go with the bus to Henrietta to reach the Tamarind Falls. The fastest way to go to the Falls is by car. Tourists need to first  get to Curepipe and then follow the signs to Henrietta. There are buses available to Henrietta from Curepipe or Quatre Bornes. From Henrietta, hikers have to walk to the Falls.

Tourists need to book their ride in advance to reach the Falls on time. Cars can be booked with the help of the hotels or privately. Local transportation can also be used. The trek to Tamarind Falls takes a whole day. Tourists need to start the trek early in the day. Therefore, booking transportation in advance is advisable.
