Another breathtaking sightseeing place in Kodaikanal is the Silent Valley View Point. On the Berijam Lake road, it is located near to the Pillar Rocks. A popular place among nature lovers, it offers a mesmerizing view of the valley. Its calming atmosphere and lush greenery add on to its charm while the view from here is sure to leave to awestruck. The point is famous for proffering some astounding and stunning views of the Silent Valley.

The best time to visit Silent Valley View point is early mornings and evenings or late afternoons as during this time the scenic beauty of the place is at its maximum.

During this time of the days, the valley can be sometimes seen covered in white mist that passes between the trees, crossing its refreshingly green meadows. The view of clouds passing through you, the sight of greenery till your eyes you could see is an experience worth remembering. The valley is too deep and has a dazzling viewpoint in Kodaikanal.

How To Reach

Silent Valley View Point is located on the Berijam road that is well connected by road. As there are no auto rickshaws in Kodaikanal, tourists can walk to the viewpoint or travel by taxi. Cycling or bikes are also available for rent. So if interested one can just cycle to the point while admiring the surrounding scenic beauty.

Pastry Corner- This place is always known for its Bakery Products and Natural Icecream. All Cakes are Tasty and Ice Cream is yummy and it melts in your mouth.

Cloud street- The place serves some best pizza in Kodaikanal. Finding parking would be a difficult task. The place is on the first floor and is parallel to the main road. You need to wait for a short 15-20 minutes once placing the order. Overall this is a recommendable place for Pizza lovers.

Tava Vegetarian Restaurant- They provide authentic food and best place for Jain and Veg food.They are open now post pandemic.There prices are quite reasonable. The journey to Kodai will be incomplete if you don't have your food here. It is best for vegetarian (north indian) food. Specially the BHINDI FRY here is to die for. It is delicious. The taste hasn't changed a bit. 

Cafe Cariappa- This small cafe is up the stairs on Poet Tyagaraja Road next to a Tibetan Restaurant. It is cosy but clean, with some tables inside and outside, and serves the best coffee in Southern India. The coffee is locally sourced and is undoubtedly the best blend. They supply beans to most cafes in Kodaikanal.
Muncheez- Muncheez is a great place to grab a quick tasty bite. It is a fabulous place for lunch and snacks. The service is good and the food is quite tasty. Their wraps are homemade, hot, fresh and delicious. Pastas at this place are awesome! Food here is a must try. Pleasing hospitality, ambiance and really tasty food. It is worth every penny.

Indian and Asian cuisines are available here. The diets are Vegetarian Friendly. Vegan and Gluten Free Options are available. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Brunch are the meals catered here.

At the first stage, water collects in huge rock recesses which are each named after wild animals such as tiger, elephant, snake etc. The Pambar river then flows .5 km to the second stage before falling as the main waterfall. The water originates in Kodaikanal Hills and flows along the rocks and finally reaches the foot hills. This place is called Kumbakarai. The travellers come here and take baths in the falls. The water flows throughout the year; but in rainy seasons the flow will be very heavy. Bathing is possible.
