The Shettihalli Rosary Church is a popular tourist destination. This Church is also known as the Floating Church. The Church was built in the year 1860 by French missionaries. Later in the 1960s, this Church was abandoned because of the construction of the Hemavathi Dam. The Church is an excellent example of Gothic architecture. An exciting thing to note here is that during the months of July to October this Church gets partially submerged in the backwaters of the Hemavathi Dam.
