Climbing is a must-see when visiting Badami. Badami has several climbing routes hidden between various cliffs that both amateurs and experts can try. Badami’s sandstone cliffs are ideal for mountaineering, and the area is often referred to as the “mountain mecca”.

 

1. Yana Rocks 

Distance from Bangalore 460km 

Yana Rock is made up of two monumental rocks known as Bayreve Schwarashikara and Mohinishikara and is very popular with rock climbers. These giant rocks test the patience and stamina of the climber through the dense forests of the Western Ghats and the calm waterfalls of Vibooty, satisfying the climber's appetite. You can also calm yourself by visiting the nearby bubbling Bibouti Falls. 2. Ramanagara 

Distance from Bangalore 55 km 

Ramanagara is a trekking destination rather than a climber's stopover. However, you can test your energy on the highest rocks in Ramanagara. The rocks in and around Ramanagara are low, but they are always crowded with climbers during the summer. Here you can see them sweating on strong rocks and climbing the steepest slopes. So what about being in Ramanagara and assessing your physical and mental balance on that rock? 

 

3. Hampi 

Distance 350km from Bangalore 

Yes, Hampi not only attracts historians and history lovers but also attracts more adventurous people with the huge rocks in and around the historic city where you can see many climbers on the mountaintop. .. Hampi rocks differ significantly in age and formation from rocks elsewhere in Karnataka. 4. Skandagiri 

Distance 62km from Bangalore 

At an altitude of 1450 meters, Skandagiri has been a mountaineering destination since its discovery. It's not very popular with hardcore climbers, but it's definitely a place for beginners. 5. Shiva Genji 

Distance from Bangalore 50km 

It's a 2,640-foot peak, so it's natural for Shivagange to attract hikers and climbers. This magnificent climb to the summit began as a Hindu pilgrimage, but today it is the destination of all climbers and trekkers except Hindu followers. As a year-round destination for mountaineers, there are many adventure seekers at the top and bottom of the Shivagange hills. If you are one of those who like to challenge the power of nature, visit Shivagange to test your strength and resilience. 

 Climbing is another popular adventure sport in Karnataka. 50 km from Bangalore, Ramanagara is a popular destination for rock climbers. Rocks are challenging and are considered a mecca for mountaineering. This place is rich in rock formations that please climbers. The hill is about 3,066 feet above sea level. Rocks of various shapes and sizes can be found here. Some of them resemble whales, pigeons, humans, and triceps Brahma. Places such as Tumakuru, Kanakapura, Savanadurga, Turahari and Kabaldurga are some of the places that climbers can stop by. Some of these destinations are suitable for both beginners and professional climbers. 

 

6. Turahalli

A herd of rock-filled hills can be found on Kanaka Rhode near Bangalore. Although Tahari is a dry landscape, much development has been done around this hill, but it still attracts adventurers. Turahalli is a popular training location for climbers 

 

7. Sawan Durga

The hill rises to 4,022 feet above sea level. It is 62 km from Bangalore and 10 km from the city of Magadi. A well-known monolith in Magaditalk is also known as Magadi Hill. The summit consists of two mountains separated by an abyss and independent of each other. One is called Kari Gudda or Black Peak and the other is called Bili Gudda or White Peak. It is also the best place for mountaineering. The whole is covered with green and it has a calm atmosphere. The best time to reach the summit is before the sun gets too hot. So it's good to start early. Hiking may seem difficult at first, but the airy views from the top make it worthwhile. It's relatively easy to get off. The area is famous for its medicinal plants and shrub forests. This is a paradise for climbing enthusiasts. Climbers can climb suddenly.

 

8. Antara Grange 

A hill-filled location in the Corral district with plenty of bouldering opportunities. This location is 4 km from Corral Bus Station. Another attraction of this place is the temple where water flows endlessly from the barren rocks. There is also a small park with several deer near one of the temples. But today, the top of the hill is accessible via a newly constructed road. On this road, you need to deviate before arriving at Chorale. Antaragange in this place is believed to be named after the water found in large numbers on rocky hills. These hills are also suitable for bouldering and mountaineering opportunities.
