Powai Lake

It is an artificial lake and amazing place to visit in Mumbai. Also, IIT Bombay is at the east of this lake. The depth of the lake is 12 meters. The lake was formerly used to supply drinking water to the people. But now due to the water degradation, this was declared unfit for the drinking use. The lake is still a point of attraction for the tourists. This lake was also built by the British in 1799. Mumbai airport is also very near to this lake.
