The Pandavar Gudda Hill is another popular tourist destination. It is located in the Mekanagadde Village. This place is very important in Indian Mythology as it is believed that the Pandavas from Mahabharata stayed here when they were in exile. The Betta Byraveshwara Temple is located on this hill. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is surrounded by the beautiful Western Ghats. The view from this temple is a sight to behold. One has to trek in order to reach the top of this hill. A good picnic can be enjoyed here. This hill is popular among photographers too as from this hill one gets to see an amazing view of the Jenkal Hills. It is best to come to this hill at the time of sunrise or sunset because during that time one can get to see the best view of the landscape.
TRANSPORTATION AND BEST TIME TO VISIT THE PLACE
The Mangalore Airport is the closest to this place. From there one can take either a bus or a taxi to reach the hill. It is also possible to drive to reach the hill. There are buses that one can take to reach here. If not buses then one can also take either a taxi or an auto-rickshaw. The Sakleshpur Railway station is the closest to this place. From the railway station, one can take either a bus or a taxi to reach the hill. The best time to visit this place is during the monsoon season as the landscape is the most beautiful during that time.

PLACES TO VISIT
The Dharmasthala Manjunatha Temple is a beautiful place to visit. It is a historic temple that is approximately eight centuries old. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva but there are other deities like Dharma Daivas and Shakti and also the four guardian spirits of Lord Dharma which are Kalarkayi, Kanyakumari, Kalarkayi, and Kumaraswamy. There is a popular tale as to how this temple was built. According to this tale, the area where the temple is was actually a village called Kuduma. The famous Jain Bunt Chief Birmanna Pergade lived here with his wife in a house. One day the four guardian angels of Lord Dharma disguised themselves as human beings and came to Birmanna Pergade's house. They were treated very well there. They even request Pergade to vacate the house which he did. After that Pergade started getting a lot of dreams which then turned to reality when he built the shrines and later this temple around the shrines. The Pattanajae Jatre is a popular festival here that is celebrated before the monsoon season.
The Manjusha Museum is a unique museum. It showcases vintage cars, temple chariots, and other ancient artifacts. This museum is a private museum and it is owned by Dr. Veerendra Hegde who is also the curator of this Museum. One finds interesting things here like Terracotta coins that belong to the Mauryan era, a Veena which is 300 years old, unusual vintage cars, jewellery, paintings, sculptures, and also precious stones. There is also a collection of photos displayed here which have been clicked by the curator.
The Annappa Betta Hill is the hill that surrounds four temples of the Dharam Gods and also nearby regions. This hill is also called Badinede Betta. It is believed that Annappa Betta was visited by the four Dharma Gods after they were impressed by the social service of a Jain family. An interesting thing that one will find upon reaching here is that there are no idols inside the pilgrimage sites. One thing that one should remember is that only men are allowed to enter this temple and not women and children.
Mullayanagiri Peak is the highest peak in Karnataka. It has an altitude of approximately 1950 meters. At the top of this peak, one finds a small temple that has a statue of Tapasvi Mullapa Swamy. It is believed that Tapasvi Mullapa Swamy meditated at a cave that is on top of this peak. The peak got its present identity because of this. But the old Kannada literature related the term Mullai to being forests. One has to trek in order to reach the top of the peak. During the trek, one comes across a Nandi Statue, beautiful streams, and a cave that has a small water source. Once the person reaches the top of this peak the view from there is a sight to behold. One can also do many adventurous activities here like mountain biking, road biking, and trekking.
The Netravati River Barrage is another interesting place to visit. The Nature Care Hospital which is quite popular lies on the banks of the Netravati River. This hospital is famous because it cures the ailments of patients using the five elements of nature which are air, water, fire, earth, and metal. At the Netravati River Barrage, one can spend a peaceful time and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere.
The Ballalarayana Durga Fort is another tourist attraction. One has to trek in order to reach this fort. This fort was constructed by the wife of King Veera Ballala I who was a Hoysala ruler. The Karnata Dravida style of architecture has been used to build this fort. Below the fort, there is a Kalabyraveshwara Temple and it is believed that King Ballala and his wife visited this temple every day. The condition of the fort today is not very good and it is mostly in ruins. However, the view from here is extremely beautiful and if one wants to watch amazing sunsets this place is perfect for them.
