GET QUOTES

Oia is also known as ‘Apano Meria’ or ‘Anomeria’ is located 150 meters above sea level. One can enjoy a beautiful view of Oia from the edge of the Caldera cliffs. The inhabitants of this village are usually live in cave houses dug into the volcanic rock and the Captain’s houses. While exploring the village many well-constructed churches will be found in Oia.

This village is full of attractive sites. Several photographers came here to capture fascinating shots of the villages. Oia is a paradise for sunset or sunrise lovers. Here you'll experience amazing sunset/sunrise views.

September is the best month to explore Oia because during this month there will often have less crowd hence one can simply explore all the beautiful sites present in the village and spend some quality time alone.

Like Mykonos, Oia is not an ideal destination for party lovers and romantic couples because the village is quite expensive as compared to other major towns of Greece.

Due to being a pedestrian village you can't explore Oia by a scooter or ATV, you need to explore the sites by walking on your foot. Although, the outer areas of the village can simply be explored by ATV.

While walking on foot you'll explore many beautiful nooks and crannies. The whitewashed alleys, amazing staircases, and gorgeous bougainvillea framing doorways give a picturesque look to the town.

If you're fond of swimming then you must visit Amoudi Bay. While swimming you'll enjoy the beautiful sunny morning view of the village at the Bay.

Along with beautiful tourist sites Oia is also known for making some tasty wines. While exploring the town you'll find many wineries. Santo Wines is one of the popular wineries of Oia.
