Zitahli Kuda-Funafaru Resort & Spa was acquired by Roxy Pacific Holdings in 2016 and was rebranded as Noku Maldives in late 2017. Noku Maldives has renovated some areas.

The Zitahli Kuda-Funafaru Resort & Spa, a 50-villa luxury resort, has some of the largest standard rooms we've seen in the Maldives (with enormous standalone soaking tubs and outdoor decks), but it still might not be the best value given that many of the accommodations exhibit signs of wear and tear and the place has a vaguely abandoned vibe. The airport lounge is a great benefit, and you can still count on finding modern, stylish design, name-brand minibar products, a luxurious spa, boutiques, a gym with a tennis court, and a tonne of activities. Although some visitors might be let down by the unequipped (but nonetheless sizable) beach, its garden grounds are perfect for couples seeking tranquilly.

Best Time to Visit Noku Maldives Resort

Maldives is a beach destination that is sun-kissed and has a weather which is year-round suitable for a trip. However, the best time to visit Maldives is between November and April, i.e., during the dry season. December to March marks the peak tourist season or the best season to visit Noku Maldives Resort as, during this season, rainfall is almost negligible, and weather remains extremely pleasant. This period is also regarded as the best season to visit Noku Maldives Resort for honeymoon as couples get an opportunity to enjoy all types of activities due to ideal weather conditions. Though, being the busiest season in Maldives, it is also the period when beach resorts in Maldives are expensive.

Dining at Noku Maldives Resort

  • A couple of restaurant options, with private dinners and room service available as well.

The primary restaurant of Zithali Kuda-Funafaru, Breeze, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a casual buffet or a la carte options with hearty coastal views. The resort's dinner-only restaurant, Mosaic, provides lovely views of the infinity pool and the ocean and a more premium atmosphere with white tablecloths, modern glass ball hanging light fixtures, polished concrete tile flooring, and these features. Poolside, which is more of a fancy way of saying they have food and drink service that extends to the poolside loungers and a few tables and chairs on the deck, is flanking the other side of the pool. Room service is available 24/7 with an international menu heavy on Asian dishes, and private dinners can be arranged on request.

  • Two bars, one on each side of the island

The stylish poolside lounge bar Indigo closes around sundown, while the beachside 5 Degrees North remains open until well after midnight. Both of Noku Maldives' bars are open from mid-morning into the evening. Hardwood floors, A-frame ceilings, a sizable, sunken U-shaped centre bar, and expensive, dark varnished wood panelled and metal furniture with deep padded cushions are all features of Indigo. For guests to blow on while drinking cocktails, playing board games, or simply gazing out across the pool or ocean, there are daily happy hour deals as well as hookahs. There are a few padded chairs scattered around the bar area in place of the usual stools. With a similar design -- several couch areas, hardwood floors, A-frame ceiling, and a central U-shaped bar -- 5 Degrees North has a bit of a lighter vibe, most likely thanks to the slightly lighter woods and off-white pillows and cushions. Both are open-air, relaxing spots to imbibe while listening to the waves roll.
