The waterfall is named after the nearby village Lalguli. The waterfall is about 250 feet in height and is fed from the River Kali. It attracts many tourists throughout the year because of its natural scenic beauty. It provides a serene and peaceful environment.

The waterfall rolls down the rocky steps in a series of picturesque rapids at different heights from 61m to 91m. It is surrounded by lush greenery, wildlife, and scenic beauty.

 

HOW TO REACH LALGULI FALLS, GOKARNA

The fall is well-connected by rail, road, and air.

By Air- The nearest airport is Dabolim, Goa. Bangalore lies around 535 kms away from the falls.

By Train- The village Lalguli is located at a distance of 535 kms from Bangalore. It is only 13 kms from Yellapur. The closest railway line is Kumta Railway Station. You can arrive by train and take the road from Yellapur.

By Road- The village is conveniently connected by road network. Regular buses ply from Bangalore to the waterfall.

 

BEST TIME TO VISIT LALGULI FALLS, GOKARNA

While it is believed that the beauty of Lalguli falls is consistent in every season i.e. it can be visited in any season, but winter is considered to be the ideal time to visit this place. In winter this place is filled with enchanting fragrance of various flora and the waterfalls have a dazzling shine when sun rays fall on it offering an unforgettable sight. Besides it is advised that this place should not be visited during monsoons because of the area being prone to landslides.

The best time to visit the waterfalls is from October to December. It is filled with serene beauty and various flora during the winters. The waterfall will be dry during the months of summer. Avoid visiting the waterfalls during monsoons because the area is prone to landslides.
