Formerly known as Suicide point, the Green Valley View offers a breathtaking view of the plains, deep valleys and hills. One of the best views from this place is the mesmerising sight of the Vaigai Dam, which makes this a place a nature loving traveller must never miss. The unfathomable, profound, precarious and intense valley below this location is more than a 5000 foot drop, enabling a perfect and clear sight.

It used to be known as suicide point because of the dangerous valley which is dense and deep; below the point of more than 5000 feet drop. People with height phobia should refrain themselves from visiting the location.  The Green Valley View offers breathtaking vistas of the lush green hills, valleys and plains spread across the entire region covering the town of Kodaikanal and its neighbouring areas.

Located at a distance of 5.5 km from the Kodaikanal Lake, the Green Valley View not just offers a gorgeous view, but  the area has plenty of monkeys which entertain the tourists coming to the hang out in this area. There is a staircase which leads to the spot and the way is lined with shops from which tourists can buy souvenirs. There are several shops which offer homemade chocolates, ornaments and a wide range of flowers.

The best time of the day to visit Green Valley View is between 10 am and 3 pm because the valley is enveloped by mist, apart from the recommended timeline. The spot is a good place to relax and enjoy the scenic natural beauty.
