GhatiSubramanya

Established on the outskirts of Bangalore near Tubagere, DoddaballapuraGhatiSubramanya Kannada is an antiquated Hindu temple. It is 60 km from the city and is a famous pilgrimage centre. The uniqueness of this temple is that the principal deity Lord Karthikeya is located collectively with Lord Narasimha. As per the mythology, both statues are thought to have arisen from the earth. It is also an influential centre in South India for snake devotions. Specific rituals are made during Brahmarathotsava, i.e., on the day of PushyashuddaShashti. NarasimhaJayanti is the other important festival celebrated here.
