Dudhwa national park situated in the Terai of Uttar Pradesh state, India, covering an area of ​​490.3 km with a buffer area of ​​90 km. Dudhwa National Park also known as Dudhwa Tiger Reserve is situated near the Indo-Nepal border in Lakhimpur Kheri district with reserved forest areas on its northern and southern sides. This national park is filled with different kinds of animal and bird species and is highly diverse and productive, representing the few remaining examples of lowland ecosystems. 

 

Which animals and birds can be seen in Dudhwa during a Wildlife Safari? 

The tourists can enter the park at seven in the morning after they're expected to see a rare Bengal tiger, rhinoceros, five types of deer, and more than 450 species of birds. Apart from this, Siberian birds, bears, herds of wild elephants can also be spotted during the journey. You'll be happy to know that the government has declared a free jungle tour on the first day this year.

In Dudhwa National Park around 14 beautiful huts are available to stay during Wildlife Safari. In all these pucca huts you'll get geysers, ACs, and all other important amenities which you require to stay. Apart from this, four rest houses are also there for a stay. The tourists coming here are also served good food from the canteen. There is also a 10-bed dormitory for accommodation.

 

How To Book a Hut Online? 

You can simply book your Hut online. For this, you need to go to the official website of Up tourism UPecotourism from where you can easily book your hut as per your preference. Apart from this, you can also use the website of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve to book a hut. When it comes to the price to stay in Tharu Hut  you need to pay three thousand rupees for two persons and ten thousand rupees for a dormitory with ten beds.

 

Enjoy a Wildlife Safari in the midst of the jungle 

There are two options for you to tour a jungle, first through Gypsy and another through an elephant safari you can choose your Safari as per your choice. For Gypsy safari, you need to spend Rs 1450 for Gypsy and Rs 450 for Nature Guide separately. While for an elephant safari you need to pay 600 rupees. Up to four people can sit on the elephant during a Wildlife Safari. Apart from this a fixed price of Rs 100 per person is set for a park tour including a road tax of Rs 300.

 

Famous animals are found in Dudhwa National Park

In Dudhwa National Park you'll also spot some special animals including swamp deer, barking deer, sambar deer, rail, jackal, hog deer, sloth bear, wild cat, fishing cat. Apart from this, Dudhwa National Park is also known as the citadel of Barasingha, the biggest reason for being famous by this name is the largest population of the Barasingha found here.

 

How to reach Dudhwa National park?

Airport: To reach Dudhwa National Park by air, you have to take a flight from your nearest airport to Lucknow, after that, you have to reach Dudhwa National Park by bus or taxi from Lucknow which is 238 km away from the park.

Railway station: To travel by rail, take a train from Lucknow Railway Station to Dudhwa Railway Station and reach National Park by taxi from there. Apart from this, you can take a direct train from Delhi to Shahjahanpur and from there take a taxi or bus to reach Dudhwa National Park.

Roadway: You can also travel from your city to Dudhwa National Park by taxi. Apart from this, you can also reach Palia by bus from Lucknow which is at a distance of 5 km from the park, and from there one can reach Dudhwa National Park by private taxi.

 

Note:

The preparations for the new tourist season are going on in full swing. However, intermittent rains are making preparations difficult. Tourists will be taken to the three tourist zones of the park. Which includes Sathiana, Salukapur, and Kishanpur.
