Chettiar Park is a government-maintained place which offers you the great lawns, flowers, space and home of the Kurinji flowers. We can spend up to 3 hours in the park with your loved ones. It is a perfect place to be with your loved ones and spend some relaxed moments amidst lush greenery. Tourists can find a wide range of exotic flowering plants in the garden. The popular Kurinji Flowers also bloom here once in 12 years and create a unique purple haze everywhere. The flower bloomed last in the year of 2004. There are decked floors for flowers in the park and lush green lawns. The beauty of the park can be known from the fact that it has been an important sight for the shooting of many commercial films.

How To Reach

Chettiar Park is a serene little park which is situated at a distance of 1.5 km from the town of Kodaikanal. The park which is managed by the township lies on the way to the Kurinji Temple at a distance of 3.2 km from the bus stand. To reach the park, you can either take your car or rent a cab.


Best Time To Visit

The perfect time to pay a visit to this beautiful garden is between May and June since the park is hugely crowded on other months of the year but during this time, there is a lesser number of visitors thereby allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the place. Also, May is the perfect month for you to experience the energy of the garden.

Chettiar is a small park which is managed by the Kodaikanal Township and offers a calm and soothing environment to its tourists.
