The Beas Kund is one of Himachal Pradesh's top tourist hotspots. The scenery from here is breathtaking. If you enjoy hiking and mountain climbing, this is a good bet for you. You can begin your trek in Old Manali.

Beas Kund is also regarded as a holy lake. Several mythological and historical stories are attached to this Kund. The Rishi Vyas, who wrote the Mahabharata is said to have had his regular bath in the crystal clear water of this lake in the ancient era, which is located at an elevation of 3,650 meters in the bosom of Hanuman Tibba and his seven siblings. According to some locals, the name of the lake is also inspired by Vyas Rishi.

While trekking in the Beas Kund you'll enjoy the grandeur and stunning vista of the snow-covered peaks as you walk through verdant fields and lakes. Beas Kund is a major source of the river Beas. It starts out right of the Kund, in a small stream and then gradually it becomes bigger and bigger.
